Access to information day (#AccessToInfoDay)

On November 17th 2015, the 38th General Conference of UNESCO adopted a resolution declaring September 28th International Day for Universal Access to Information (http://en.unesco.org/iduai2016/about-day). this decison was taken to replace the Right to Know Day celebrated since 2002.

UNESCO's hope in consecrating this day as the “International Day for Universal Access to Information” was that it will provide for more countries adopting Freedom Of Information legislation, developing policies for multilingualism and cultural diversity in the cyberspace, and ensuring that women and men with disabilities are integrated.

Access to information is a fundamental Human Right. APC with the use of The 13 principles of the African Declaration, joins the international community to celebrate this event.
